The Heidelberg 40-inch 6 color with inline aqueous coater is ideally suited for commercial work, offering fast setup with minimum waste. A computerized console helps achieve the correct six-color balance by enabling maximum control of ink flow. In-line aqueous coating enhances the printed sheet with either a gloss or satin finish and allows the sheet to be handled more quickly because it dries instantaneously.
ROBERT RUSHING As lead offset pressman, Robert brings the role substantial benefits of his 35 years in printing. He speaks of his craft with the reverence of a guru. It's all about balance and focus, he says. A balanced approach means he never compromises quality of product for the sake of productions convenience. And, he is focused on maintaining his sophisticated six-color press, eyeing the quality of the product he generated, and meeting critical deadlines. That attention to detail means Robert can avoid reruns so maddening for both printers and customers. And that means a little more inner peace for everyone.
RANDY DAVIS Flying wingman for Robert, Randy is responsible for the care and feeding of their top-of-the-line Heidelberg 40-inch machine. He loads and feeds paper and is responsible for register and press set-up functions before it's up and flying on a customer job. But, with 28 years in the business, he's certainly no rookie. He's only been at Meek's for about four years, but he appreciates the family atmosphere and he knows he has the confidence and support of his employer. Randy's primary challenge: Achieving maximum production from the equipment for customers.
